MISS WORLD NEW ZEALAND CONTESTANT - Tiana Grace Hall

Tiana Grace Hall (Contestant 12)

I am an energetic and passionate young adult, who is highly motivated for success. I take pride in my appearance, and thrive to be challenged, active and to be spending time with family and friends!

I have an optimistic reality, and feel positively that education is an important aspect of life, which is why I fulfilled my high school qualifications to their potential, and continued through to university. This persistence can be seen in any task I become involved in; I am a focused, reliable and independent woman who often exceeds expectations.

Honesty, loyalty and respectability are important qualities which I believe I exude within my day to day life. I enjoy exposure to cultural diversity; broadening my understanding and knowledge of others is an ongoing pleasure! Above all, I am grateful for my existence and respect the planet on which we live, as well as holding strong pride in originating from New Zealand. I recognize the urgency for change to create a sustainable future for humanity. Because of this, I hold a personal commitment to making the world a better place; hence my goal of becoming Miss World New Zealand.

I love playing the piano, singing, socializing and meeting different people. Living 15 minutes walking distance from the beach is never taken for granted. I'm there almost everyday.

My dream is to make a difference in this world. I see myself as a rolemodel for the younger girls. I love inspiring and motivating people. I like being around happy people that can motivate and inspire me. I have a strong personality; I will always stand up for what I believe in and develop as a person each and every day.

MISS WORLD NEW ZEALAND CONTESTANT - Alexandra Grace Scott

Alexandra Grace Scott (Contestant 9)

Last year one of my goals involved an environmental science program with ideas for creating sustainable living environments that can keep humans, animals, plants and insects living harmoniously together. I believe I achieved this on a small scale, using my own backyard.

This year I'd like to use all the things I learnt last year with the pageant and use my new passion for working with people of all different cultural backgrounds. I love traveling the world and experiencing life while meeting interesting individuals that inspire new ways of thinking.

Becoming Miss New Zealand 2011 will help me meet more of these people and expand my repertoire of cultural relations, which in turn will help further the development of future projects and the implementation of my goals.

This year I have developed my skills to promote positive change in today's society by proactively arranging group activities with my fellow pairs all driving towards the same common goals including being crowned Miss New Zealand 2011.
