Meet The Contestants of 2012 Miss Philippines Earth

The 2012 Miss Philippines Earth competition will be scheduled to take place on May 27 at the Center Stage of SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City. The reigning queen, Athena Mae Imperial will take her final walk and crown her successor during the event.

The new winner will represent the country in Miss Earth 2012 later this year. Also, participants and winners work on the environmental-social-humanitarian advocacy of the pageant.

This year's theme has aligned itself with the 2012 declaration of the United Nations General Assembly as the "International Year of Sustainable Energy for All" as it centers this year’s pageant edition with the promotion of sustainable energy that is accessible, cleaner, and more efficient which is essential for the achievement of sustainable development.

Penda Ly was crowned Miss Senegal 2012

Road to Miss Universe 2012

Penda Ly, a 21-year old student of marketing from Dakar, was crowned Miss Senegal 2012 during an event held at the King Pahd Palace. Ly stands 175 cm tall and received, among other prizes, the right to represent Senegal at the MISS ECOWAS competition and is expected to travel to the Miss Universe pageant in December.
