Avianca Böhm was crowned Miss Universe New Zealand 2012 at the Amora Hotel in Wellington on June 3, 2012. Avianca, Miss Howick, is 22 years old and stands 5 ft 10 in (1.77m). She will represent New Zealand in Miss Universe 2012 later this year. Talia Bennett, Miss North Harbour, was the first runner-up and Lauren Mann, Miss Wellington, was the second runner-up.
