Larisa Leeuwe was crowned Miss Aruba 2012 on the Sunday night of November 4, 2012 at Alhambra Ballrooom. She was crowned by Minister of Tourism, Transport and Labor, Mr. Otmar Oduber in an event was live broadcast on iTV, channel 49. The beauty from Oranjestad is 21 years old. She will represent Aruba at the Miss World 2013 beauty pageant in Indonesia. The first runner-up was Michelle Motta.
During the event, Larisa also won quite a few special awards such as Miss Best Look by Loreal, Miss Best Smile by Mirto, Miss Aruba Bikini & Best Designer Gown 2012. She can speak English, Spanish, Papiamento and Dutch.
