Morgan Amarone was crowned Miss Connecticut 2011/Miss Connecticut Scholarship 2011 at the Garde Arts Center in New London on June 25. Morgan is 23-year-old and will represent Connecticut in Miss America 2012.
“I’m still in shock,” said Hamden’s Morgan Amarone, just minutes after being named Miss Connecticut 2011.



The first runner-up is Jessica Lesage of Wallingford.
Other finalists included: Kaitlyn Tarpey of Stamford; Acacia Courtney of Hamden; ; http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifMartha Price of Rocky Hill; Alexandria Puglisi of Cheshire; Brittany Monico of Bristol; Ashley Membrino of Waterbury; Cassandra Mastrianni of Wolcott; and Alexandra Tenney of Greenwich.

The 2011 Outstanding Teen is Nicole Nemense of Watertown. Brianna Smail of Wolcott was the first runner up. The remaining finalists were: Annalisa Sega of Southington; Melissa Doyle of Wolcott; Jaine Coann LeFebvre of Glastonbury; Alexa Farrell of Wolcott; Andreanna Buccheri of Wethersfield; ; Jenna Kowalec of Bristol; Alyssa Anderson of Wolcott; and Erin Ward of Wolcott.

Vania Peneva from Kazanlak was crowned Miss Bulgaria 2011 on June 26, 2011. She is 23 year old and stands 5’9”. Vania Peneva will represent Bulgaria in Miss World 2011 pageant.

Hope Anderson was crowned Miss Louisiana 2011 on June 25 at the 48th annual Miss Louisiana pageant at the W.L. “Jack” Howard Theatre in Monroe. She will represent Louisiana in Miss America 2012 Pageant.

Anderson, a Monroe resident, is a December graduate of ULM. Anderson was also awarded Preliminary Fitness and Evening Gown awards during this year’s pageant, as well as the Academic Award.

Noelle Freeman was crowned Miss California 2011

Noelle Freeman, a 21-year-old Chapman University alumna, was crowned Miss Californiahttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif 2011 on Saturday, June 25 of the 86th Miss California annual pageant held at the William Saroyan Theatre in downtown Fresno. Noelle Freeman will represent California in Miss America 2012.

Noelle graduated from Chapman in May with a degree in communications and a minor in dance. Freeman bested 59 other contestants in the pageant — including six other Chapman students. Four of the pageant’s top 12 were current Chapman students.

Freeman, who performed a “Black Swan” dance variation for her talent offering, received a $10,000 scholarship from the Miss California pageant. She also advances to the Miss America pageant, to be held in January in Las Vegas. There, she will compete against 49 other state representatives for the title of Miss America 2012.

Vania Detelinova Peneva (23, 1.74m, Kazanlak) was crowned Miss Bulgaria 2011 (Мис България 2011) at the conclusion of a spectacular show held at the TV 7 studios in Sofia. She will represent Bulgaria in Miss World 2011 in London, England on November 6. Olga Emil Modeva was the first runner-up and Denitza Kirilova Stoyanova was the second runner-up. This year the national pageant was preceded by a reality show and featured 12 contestants.

The Miss Barbados World 2011 pageant is scheduled for August 28 at the Hilton Barbados in St. Michael. Seven delegates will compete for the national pageant. With a wardrobe clad with the islands’ premier designers, the Miss Barbados World delegates of 2011 and their production crew set out on their first official photo shoot on Sunday, June 12, at the new luxury lifestyle center, Limegrove. Local photographer, Shawn Fields, snapped the band of seven beauties in the lavish Palm Courtyard, before they posed for group shots in the Courtyard’s lounge.

The winner is Joyce Tay, 24 year old from Melaka and she stands at 1.73m and weights 50 kg. Miss Air is Crystel Eve Huminodun, from Sabah, Miss Water is Teh Wei Ling from Penang. Miss Fire is Ashley Chow from Perak and Miss Eco Tourism is Yana Loh from Kuala Lumpur.
