Gloria Tang, Miss Chinese Vancouver, was crowned Miss Chinese International 2013

Gloria Tang, Miss Chinese Vancouver, was crowned Miss Chinese International 2013 at the finale of the pageant held on February 24, 2013. She was crowned by Miss Chinese International 2012, also and Miss Hong Kong World 2012, Kelly Cheung.



The winner doesn’t compete in Miss International, it’s more like Miss Italia Nel Mondo, just a contest for Chinese beauty throughout the world. Although alot of them are asked to compete in other pageants, like Kelly Cheung was asked to compete in Miss World.

Her full name is Tang Pui Yee and she was born in Hongkong. The 20-year-old marketing student from the University of British Columbia stands 5’6½”. She can speak Cantonese, English, Putonghua.

Denise Tan of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia was the first runner-up

Carat Cheung of Hong Kong was the second runner-up.

Contestant Denise Tan of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia was the first runner-up, while Carat Cheung of Hong Kong was the second runner-up.

The top five completed with Boonyisa Chantrarachai from Bangkok, Thailand and Jessica Song from Toronto, Canada

Special Awards: The Media Popularity Award went Jacky Cai from Melbourne, Australia; Miss Friendship went to Lauren Weinberger from Los Angeles, United States and the Star of Tomorrow Award went to finalist Jessica Song.

The slogan to this year’s pageant is “A Beautiful Revolution” For the first time since 2007, when the pageant allowed Mainland Chinese delegates to enter, there was no Regional Competition for Mainland China, with only Foshan sending a delegate. With 16 delegates, this is the lowest turnout of any Miss Chinese International pageants
