Ruanna Fernandes was crowned Miss World Ceará 2013

The state of Ceará has crowned Ruanna Fernandes, Miss World Quixeramobim, 20, as its representative in Miss World Brazil 2013, to be held on September 22, at the Portobello Resort & Safari, in Rio de Janeiro. She received the sash from the hands of Juceila Bueno, Miss World Brazil 2011.



The 1st runner-up was Miss Fortaleza, Nataly Braga, and the 2nd runner-up was Miss Crato, Tarsis Zaire.

Miss Russas, Thereza Carvalho, 15, was crowned Miss Global Teen Ceará 2012, while Bruno Leka, 17, was the winner of the Mister Ceará 2012 contest.

The event happened in the city of Crato with 30 candidates.

Julia Belechak is the 5’6” green-eyed daughter of Joe and Michelle Belechak. Julia attends Vincentian Academy. She plans to graduate college with a degree in broadcast journalism and become an entertainment news reporter. Julia believes her one strongest talent is her ability to effectively speak in public. Her favorite hobbies include world travel, attending Pittsburgh Pirate games, collecting spoons, kayaking and volunteering. Julia is the captain of her cheerleading squad, a member of the Care Team and involved in acting. She describes herself as ambitious, aspiring and compassionate.

Crowned by Madison Longstreth, MISS PENNSYLVANIA TEEN USA® 2011, Julia Belechak will represent PENNSYLVANIA at the 2012 MISS TEEN USA® Pageant.


The remainder of the Top 5 included: First Runner-up Alex-Taylor Deitz of Wexford, Second Runner-up Sydney Robertson of Williamsport, Third Runner-up Elle Eutsey of Connellsville and Fourth Runner-up Katie Smith of McVeytown.

The Semi-finalists were: Samantha Snyder of DuBois, Ebone Jimerson of North Wales, Megan Perez of Doylestown, Ashlee Valois of Doylestown, Morgan Lathrop of Corry, Caroline Collins of West Middlesex, Alexandra Pacinda of Cranberry Township, Holly Harrar of Pottstown, Olivia Hamm of Knox and Alyssa Sullivan of Greencastle.

Melinda Bam was crowned Miss South Africa 2011

Road to Miss World 2012


The Miss South Africa 2011 pageant took place at Sun City’s Superbowl last night and the crown was snatched by 22-year old marketing graduate Melinda Bam.

The title of Second Princess went to 21-year-old Thuli Sangweni, who won the Miss Congeniality sash earlier in the evening too.

First Princess was won by 21-year-old Remona Moodley – the second time she’s held a similar title. She was First Princess to Zizo Beda in Miss SA Teen 2006.

The ceremony aired live on Mzansi Magic and was hosted by ProVerb - who hosted last year too – with Michelle McLean in the commentary booth and Bridget Masinga behind-the-scenes and on the red carpet.

The winner will compete in Miss World and Miss Universe 2012.

Isha Jog Crowned Miss American Elegance National Teen 2012


Isha Jog, 16, was crowned Miss American Elegance National Teen 2012 in November in Chicago, Illinois. She also won “Best evening wear walk”, “Best fun fashion wear”, and “Most Notable Community Service Award” Isha Jog’s national plarform is “Healthy body, Healthy mind” and she is the D.A.R.E. America Youth Advisory Board Illinois Representative.

Aside from being a tournament champion on her school’s speech team, varsity dance team member, and a dance cultural ambassador at over 150 events in Chicago, Isha maintains a stellar GPA.

She created and organized “Halloween Against Hunger” in her community, where over 100 pounds of canned food was collected and donated to the county’s food pantry. She is currently the D.A.R.E. America Youth Advisory Board Illinois representative, a role she takes very seriously. Isha will be speaking at D.A.R.E. graduations across the state, sharing with students her mission to stay drug and alcohol free in order to live a healthy life and achieve her dreams. She hopes to encourage her peers to live a healthy, substance-free, and non-violent lifestyle.

In school she is a part of S.A.D.D. Club (Students Against Destructive Decisions), Business Professionals of America, and Junior Class Club.

Isha is a passionate dancer, with 10 years of experience in ballet, hip-hop, and Indian Classical dancing called Kathak. She enjoys choreographing and teaching dance to young children at Indian Dance School.

Active on the modeling scene and pageant competitor, Isha has appeared in a Neo Laptops national commercial, a print ad, and modeled in the Live Out Loud Charity fashion show to raise money and awareness for suicide prevention.

A trilingual student who has visited over 30 states and 8 countries, Isha is a dedicated dancer and student who is always ready for the next adventure!

Isha is honored to be crowned Teen Miss American Elegance 2012 and hopes to reach out to others and continue her volunteer efforts during her reign.

Jessica Aguirre Crowned The National Miss American Coed Victory 2012


Miss Southern California American Coed Victory Jessica Aguirre from Downey, California was crowned the National Miss American Coed Victory 2012 on November 24th, 2011 in Orlando, Florida at the Hilton Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. Jessica is the daughter of Thomas and Teresa Aguirre.

Jessica triumphant walk across the stage was just the beginning of a journey that will take her to every corner of the country during her year of service as Miss American Coed Victory 2012. Jessica plans on attending charity events, award banquets and speaking to audiences about her platform “Get Involved” in which she promotes community service and giving back to others.

Jessica is a 21-year-old student at California State University Fullerton. Her scholastic ambition is to be a Community Services Director. Along with the title of Miss American Coed Victory 2012, Jessica also won overall photogenic in her division and a scholarship to continue her education.

American Coed Pageants annually holds state pageants for the purpose of recognizing and rewarding outstanding young woman between the ages of three and twenty four for their past and present accomplishments and to encourage them to set and achieve high goals for the future. Jessica qualified to attend the national competition by placing as a top finalist in the annual Miss Southern California Coed Pageant for 2011. Since 1983, millions of dollars in cash awards and prizes have been presented to outstanding girls at the state and national competition.

April Lufriu, Miss America, was crowned Mrs. World 2011 in Orlando, Florida, USA. Silvia Cornejo from Peru, Miss Tourism Queen International 2008, was the 1st runner-up, while Mrs. Vietnam Nguyen Thi Thu Huong, 32, was the second runner-up. The top 6 completed with Poland (4th), Russia (5th), and Jordan (6th place).

The semi-finalists came from Korea (7th place and voted Mrs Congeniality), Brazil (8th), France (9th), Panama (10th), Hungary (11th), North America (12nd), Germany (13th), Greece (14th), and Akhazia (15th). Mrs Spain was chosen Miss Photogenic by press photographers covering the event.
