Two state representatives for Miss Universe Brazil 2012 were crowned last week. Miss Universe Rondônia is Michele Miquelini, from the city of Ariquemes, and Miss Universe Pará 2012 is Layse Souto, from Salinópolis. 21 candidates competed in the Miss Universe Pará pageant.

Dates and venue of Miss Universe Brazil 2012 have not yet been announced.

Gabriela Markus was crowned Miss Universe Rio Grande do Sul

Road to Miss Universe Brazil 2012




The new Miss Universe Rio Grande do Sul is Gabriela Markus, from the city of Teutônia. Miss Pelotas, Athena Cunha, was the 1st runner-up, and Miss Santa Maria, Vitória Machado Bisognin, was the 2nd runner-up.

Markus, who is 23 and 1.80 m-tall, had participated in Miss Universe Rio Grande do Sul 2010 and placed 2nd.

She will compete in Miss Universe Brazil 2012.
