María Fernanda Cornejo Alfaro was crowned Miss International 2011 at the final pageant held on Sunday November 6, 2011 in Chengdu, China. Cornejo Alfaro was 22-year old and stands 1.78 m. Fernanda Cornejo lives and works in Guayaquil, Ecuador. She is one of the most requested models in her country. Cornejo is taking a bachelor’s degree in nutrition at UEES and speaks Spanish and English. She enjoys singing, going to the beach, playing basketball and doing pilates.

The 1st runner-up was Miss Venezuela, Jessica Barboza; and the 2nd runner-up was Miss Mongolia, Tugsuu Idersaikhan. The 3rd runner-up was Miss Panama, Keity Mendieta and the 4th runner-up was Miss Puerto Rico, Desiree del Rio.

Miss Ecuador, Maria Fernanda Cornejo won the Miss International 2011 title during a pageant held on November 6 at the Sichuan Opera Theatre in Chengdu, China. She was crowned by Elizabeth Mosquera, Miss International 2010.

Fernanda Cornejo was the 51st Miss International titleholder and the 1st for her country. The 1st run-up was Miss Venezuela, Jessica Barboza. 2nd run-up place went to Miss Mongolia, Tugsuu Idersaikhan. The 3rd run-up was Miss Puerto Rico. And finally, the 4th run-up position went to Miss Panama, Keity Mendieta.

Twenty-year old Deedee Zibara bested 18 delegates from all over Australia to win Miss Earth Australia 2011 on Friday night. She was also the recipient of best in talent and best in swimsuit. Miss Zibara, who is 178 cm tall, hails from West Ryde, New South Wales and will be Australia’s representative to Miss Earth 2011 in Manila, Philippines on December 3.Miss Air was Charlotte Mastin, Miss Water was Samantha King and Miss Fire was Lorelee Prentice.Other winners of special awards were the following:Miss Friendship: Louise KeyeMiss Environmental Speech: Elise DuncanMiss Photogenic: Jenna SeymourBest In Evening Gown: Charlotte MastinThe top ten finalists included Elise Duncan, Louise Keye, Biana Ivanoff, Jenna Seymour, Korinna Gouros, and Monique Shippen.
