Camila Serakides (23) from Brazil, was crowned Miss Continente Americano 2012 during the 7th edition of the competition held at the Palacio de Cristal in Guayaquil, Ecuador, on September 29th.

The 1st runner-up or “virreina” was Miss Panama, Maricely Gonzalez Pomares; and the 2nd runner-up was Miss Argentina, Josefina Herrero.

Paraguay (Liliana Santa Cruz), Costa Rica (Fabiana Granados) and Mexico (Karen Padilla) completed the group of finalists.

The winner was crowned by outgoing titleholder Claudia Schiess, of Ecuador.  The show also saw the debut of reigning Miss Ecuador Universe Carolina Aguirre as a singer.

Miss Canada, Kesiah Papasin was elected Miss Congeniality, and Miss Mexico Karen Padilla was Miss Photogenic. Colombia’s Melissa Cano won the Best National Costume award.

Nina Fjalestad was the first runner-up in the Miss Universe Norway 2012 pageant held at the Kanonhallen-Peter Mollersvei, Norway on September 28, 2012 and she was crowned Miss Earth Norway 2012.

Nina Fjalestad is 19 years old and stands 1.70 m. She will represent Norway in the upcoming Miss Earth 2012 pageant to be held in Manila, Philippines on November 24, 2012.

She won the Miss Globe International 2011 tittle, Miss Kaya Artemis 2011 and Miss Burn & Bid Modell 2012 awards.

Gabriela Markus, is the winner of Miss Universe Brazil 2012 Pageant. She was crowned Miss Universo Brasil 2012 on September 29, 2012 in Fortaleza . Gabriela Markus is 23 year old and stands 1.80 m. She will be Brazil’s representative in the upcoming Miss Universe 2012 Pageant to be held in Las Vegas on December 19, 2012.

Twins Rina and Romy Chibany were crowned Miss Lebanon 2012 and runner-up Saturday evening, in a ceremony held at the Platea arena, north of Beirut.

The 21-year-old sisters, from Zahle in the Bekaa, were among 16 contestants from across Lebanon who took part in the competition, which included contests in the swimwear and gowns categories, and it was the first time that twins had entered the contest.

 Rina was handed over the crown by last year’s winner, Yara Khoury-Mikhael, and has now guaranteed her place in the Miss Universe contest, to be held in Las Vegas on Dec. 19.
