Malaika Mushandu Crowned Miss Zimbabwe 2011

18-year old Malaika Mushandu from Harare was crowned Miss Zimbabwe 2011 during a grand ceremony held at the International Conference Centre. Malaika, who is a student, stands 1.82 m tall and will represent Zimbabwe at the 61st Miss World pageant to be held in December.

The 1st runner-up, crowned Miss Tourism Zimbabwe, was Rumbidzai Mudzengerere, who will represent the country at the Miss Tourism International world finals in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on December 31s.

The 2nd runner-up was Lisa Morgan, who received a sash named “Miss Universe Zimbabwe”. However, she is expected to represent Zimbabwe at the World Miss University finals in Korea, since the Miss Zimbabwe pageant does not hold the license to send a contestant to the Miss Universe competition, as confirmed by the international organization.
