Alyshea Surani was born in Calgary, Alberta. She has won many speech tournaments including a Kiwanis Festival gold for solo acting and had the privilege of planning the concert for Academy Award winning artist A.R. Rahman in Vancouver.

She is an experienced Bollywood dancer, an avid singer, and models for Alberta Fashion Week.

Completing a Bachelor of Science at the University of Calgary, her dream is to create a publication promoting fashion and health, combining her love for style, and her science background.

Having travelled to developing nations around the world, Alyshea believes a strong sense of hope can create a brighter future for us all.

Biography and More Photos of Deborah Priya Henry, Miss Universe Malaysia 2011

Road to Miss Universe 2011

Born in Dublin, Ireland, Henry grew up in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Her mother is Irish and her father is a Malaysian. Henry was educated at Sayfol International School in Kuala Lumpur. During her school days, she excelled in basketball and volleyball, and also won a gold medal in the Kuala Lumpur International Schools athletics meet. She received a “Sportswoman of the Year” trophy from her school.

Henry began modelling at the age of 15 and modelled in London three years later for seven months. As a model, she appeared in Malaysian rock band Estranged’s music video “Itu Kamu”. She also runs SKEF, an education centre for Somali refugee children. Henry started modelling at 15, as a catwalk and print model in Kuala Lumpur. She moved to London in 2003, where she walked for designers such as Ungaro, YSL and Gucci. She took a hiatus from modelling in 2004 to further her studies in Brisbane. She returned to Malaysia in 2007 and participated in Miss Malaysia World 2007. Henry is the Face of MIFA (Malaysia International Fashion Alliance) 2011.

Henry holds bachelor’s of science degrees in Political Science and Economics from the University of Queensland, in Brisbane, Australia. Her focus is human rights advocacy and sustainable development with a long term goal to eradicate poverty.

In the summer of 2011, Blanc Limited will present the first Miss Bermuda Pageant to take place in over 10 years. The pageant promises to be the event of the year as young women ages 18-25, showcase their intelligence and beauty on stage.

The finals of the event will be held at Fairmont Southampton, Bermuda on 12 Jun 2011. The winner will represent the country in Miss World 2011
