Bio:

Ambitious, resourceful and spontaneous I am Trumane Trotman 20 years of age. Miss. Country St. Maarten Senior Carnival Queen 2011, Miss St. Maarten Tropic Beauty 2010 & Miss Congeniality 2011 at the Miss. Tropic Beauty competition in Las Vegas, President of St. Maarten Rotaract Sunrise Club 2010/2011 and Vice President Public Relations of the Philipsburg Toastmaster Club 2010/2011.

Unquestionably, I am a very active person who enjoy's doing things for the community, being a role model for others and a firm activist against child sexual abuse.

I live life with the following mottos " Service Above Self & Sky is the Limit "

I was born on St. Maarten November 28 1990, 5th of 6 children with aspirations to get my BS in International Business Management & BS in Aviation Management. Furthermore, as a Methodist Agogic School 2003 and St. Dominic High School 2008 alumni I’ve been thought to reach for the sky of which I’ve been doing in all aspects of my life.

Juliana Airport Handlers is my current place of employment where I’m an Aviation Costumer Service Agent & an Aviation Operations Agent which gives me a great opportunity to reach for the sky – literally. While developing my passion and knowledge of the aviation industry and my people skills.

Indeed life is an adventure, where traveling and interacting with people are two of my main hobbies and interest which motivates me to go on.

“ Sky High “

Humanitarian Advocacy:

Child Sexual Abuse

Pursuing my passion for being a role model for the youth and a lover of children of the four major abuse that may occur towards them I choose to be a firm advocated against “Child Sexual Abuse”.

There are several different forms of sexual abuse that does not necessarily require “penetration” which are against the rights of a child. Unfortunately, that is the only form spoken about on a large scale. As a victim of child abuse, I believe it’s my duty as a survivor to speak with other individuals who may have been abused to help them and bring about awareness of the different forms of sexual abuse to others.

As the saying goes “Prevention is better than Cure”

In accordance with my Rotary family theme of 2011/2012 agreed upon and chaired under President Kalyan Banerjee “Reach Within to Embrace Humanity” I see this as the light at the end of the tunnel and a inspiration to me, that to be a true advocate to any humanitarian cause one must first “ Reach Within “

The Miss. Humanitarian International pageant would be use as a bridge to bring about international awareness on Child Sexual Abuse. Unquestionably, by networking with other individuals from around the world at the pageant I will be able to expand their knowledge of yet another humanitarian cause and even organize a regional or international activity to assist in increasing the awareness level of this horrific abuse.

According to research, this pageant is not just a beauty pageant, or a place where one can state a cause and move on in life but this pageant is a true humanitarian advocate working alongside the United Nations to bring about change.

Research + Action = Change

For this reason and many others I’m honored to be in the Miss. Humanitarian International Pageant 2011 held in Barbados.

Special thanks and credits to misshumanityinternational
